Ongoing Works

  • Henry Street: Footpath & parking restrictions in place from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate kerb re-alignment as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), no impact on local traffic

****Castle Street: Please be advised that reversal of traffic flow occurred on Friday 9th June 2017 and will remain in place permanently i.e. traffic can access Castle Street from North Main Street only as part of the of the Cork City Transport Improvement Scheme – see

****St. Patrick Street: Full closure northbound currently in place to facilitate construction work as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), diversions in place - please see www.transportforcorkcity.ie – **this will remain in place until Sept 2017**

  • Mahon Busgate: Project involving realignment of kerb-lines, new street lighting and busgate into Mahon Point Shopping Centre ongoing until July 2017
  • Glenthorn Drive:  Give/Take in operation from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate installation of ESB ducting (ESB Networks)
  • Curraheen Road: Road closure currently in place from the junction of Curraheen Lawn to facilitate replacement of Curraheen Bridge. Diversions in place – this closure will remain in place until Sunday 27th August 2017.
  • Horgan’s Quay: Bus Lane closure currently in place to facilitate the construction of a new entrance for Kent Station (Murphy International)
  • Drawbridge Street/Perry Street: Full closure currently in place to facilitate construction work as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), local diversion in place – this closure will remain in place until Friday 11th August 2017.
  • Devonshire Street: Full closure currently in place to facilitate construction work as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), this closure will remain in place until Friday 28th July 2017.

  • Blarney Street: Stop/Go in place from 0930hrs – 1430hrs to facilitate tree pruning inbound o/s Sundays Well BNS (Parks Dept, CCC)
  • Farranlea Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate the installation of a gas service (Bord Gais)
  • Church Road: Full closure in place from 0930hrs – 2000hrs from the junction of Blackrock Road to the junction of Marian Park/Beaumont Drive to facilitate road resurfacing (Lagan Asphalt)

  • Richmond Hill: Road closure in place from 1930hrs – 0000hrs to facilitate repair of boundary box outside No.5 (Water Dept, CCC);
  • Boherboy Road: Lane restriction in place from 0930hrs -1700hrs to facilitate sewer connection work (DMS Plant& Civil Limited);
  • Oliver Plunkett Street:  local restrictions in place near Oven’s Bar during timed closure1100hrs – 1700 to facilitate sewer repair works (Drainage Dept, CCC);
  • George’s Quay: northern footpath closed from 09:30hrs between signalised junction with Union Quay/ South Terrace and pedestrian crossing adjacent to Parliament Bridge;
